Obviously it's pretty rough and I'm not liking the background color but I am going to try to play with the seasons as a representation of time and maybe incorporate elements of the celtic calender.
I think you have a great idea going! Maybe you could try something different in the center to help ground the image some more. I can't wait to see what you do with the idea.
I like your idea and concept here. I would try to maybe more of solid background to bring more attention to the trees? Or maybe just a different pattern.
